Catalytic intermolecular linear allylic C-H amination via heterobimetallic catalysis.
Nitrogen functionality is prevalent in synthetic and natural small molecules with significant biological activities.1 Current state-ofthe-art methods for installing nitrogen into complex organic frameworks generally proceed through oxygen.2 While these methods feature high selectivities and predictable reactivities, they lengthen synthetic sequences by requiring unproductive chemical manipulati...
متن کاملOrganic azides: "energetic reagents" for the intermolecular amination of C-H bonds.
This feature article provides an overview of the application of organic azides for the intermolecular amination of sp(3) and sp(2) C-H bonds. The catalytic activity of several metal complexes was reviewed underlining both synthetic and mechanistic aspects of the C-H amination. The majority of the aminated compounds reported in literature have been collected in this paper to provide a compendium...
متن کاملRhodium-catalyzed intermolecular C-H amination of simple hydrocarbons using the shelf-stable nonafluorobutanesulfonyl azide.
A new procedure has been developed for the direct intermolecular C-H amination of simple hydrocarbons using shelf-stable nonafluorobutanesulfonyl azide in the presence of a dirhodium(II) tetracarboxylate catalyst under mild reaction conditions. Some mechanistic details are briefly discussed on the basis of control experiments.
متن کاملEnantioselective, intermolecular benzylic C-H amination catalysed by an engineered iron-haem enzyme.
C-H bonds are ubiquitous structural units of organic molecules. Although these bonds are generally considered to be chemically inert, the recent emergence of methods for C-H functionalization promises to transform the way synthetic chemistry is performed. The intermolecular amination of C-H bonds represents a particularly desirable and challenging transformation for which no efficient, highly s...
متن کاملAnalyzing Site Selectivity in Rh2(esp)2-Catalyzed Intermolecular C–H Amination Reactions
Predicting site selectivity in C-H bond oxidation reactions involving heteroatom transfer is challenged by the small energetic differences between disparate bond types and the subtle interplay of steric and electronic effects that influence reactivity. Herein, the factors governing selective Rh2(esp)2-catalyzed C-H amination of isoamylbenzene derivatives are investigated, where modification to ...
